I love posting about good, clean, catchy creative like Madagascar 3′s new digital campaign currently running across Chicago, Atlanta and Dallas.
It’s common for today’s audience to tune out many forms of advertising as we are constantly bombarded with messages. It’s extremely difficult to catch their attention especially when there are thousands of other advertisers competing for their attention as well. One solution that cuts through the clutter is creativity. Creativity gets an advertisement noticed and will be able to give the audience a reason to pay attention.
Another key aspect of creating a great advertisement, aside from creativity, is simplicity. In outdoor advertising, there is a golden rule which states: 6 words, 6 seconds.

Avoid over cluttering your creative so that the consumer will not be distracted from the message. Remember that an advertisement is finished only when there is no longer anything to take away. When it comes to out of home advertising, a single idea must be simple and fast to understand which is exactly what Paramount Pictures was doing with their Madagascar creative.
